    阅读理解。
    Two men named Jack and Joe were walking along a road one hot summer morning. They were very thirsty
    (渴) and wanted very much to have a glass of cold beer (啤酒), but they had no money.
    "I can get some beer for us without (没有) money," said Jack," Come with me."
    They went to a pub (酒吧) about one kilometer away. It was lunch time and a lot of people were in the pub.
    The owner (店主) was selling drinks at one end of the long bar (柜台) while a waiter (招待员) was selling
    drinks at the other end.
    "My friend and I can't agree," Jack went up to the owner and said, "I say there are two glasses in a litre (升)
    and he says there are four."
    "You're right," said the owner, "There are only two glasses in a litre."
    "Thank you." said Jack, and went over to Joe. He was standing at the other end of the bar.
    He asked for two glasses of beer and told the waiter that the owner was going to pay for it. Then he called
    out loudly, "You did say two glasses, didn't you?"
    "Yes, that's right. Two glasses." The owner called back. So they drank the beer with great enjoyment (乐趣)
    and then they walked out of the pub.

故事类阅读注意:
初中生接触到的阅读材料大都是故事类。
阅读故事类的材料,应该抓住人物线索、地点线索、时间线索和情节发展线索。

特别注意的是,以上线索往往是并存的。因为情节的发展总是涉及到人物的变化、时间的推移、场景的变换等。
