例:China(中国)、Asia(亚洲) Beijing(北京)、the People’s Republic of China(中华人民共和国)。
如:the Great Wall(长城)。
如:the Greens( 格林一家人)。
(Uncountable Nouns)
1、不可数名词是指不能以数目来计算,不可以分成个体的概念、状态、品质、感情或表示物质材料的东西;
work(工作) ——a work (著作);
glass(玻璃)——a glass (玻璃杯);
aper(纸) ——a paper(报纸;文件;试卷)
tea(茶) ——a tea (一种茶)(表示种类);
wood(木头) ——a wood (小树林);
room(空间) ——a room (房间)
1.work/job
I’m busy today, for I have a lot of work to do.
2. wish / hope
I wish you to be happy.
② hope和wish都可以跟从句。hope之后的从句的谓语动词用一般将来时或一般现在时,所表达的愿望可以实现;
I hope you like the flowers.
I wish I were a bird.
③hope和wish都可以跟动词不定式(hope/wish to do sth.)。wish比较正式,口气比较强烈;
I hope (wish) to go to college.
I wish you success.
3.silly/stupid/foolish
stupid所表达的程度最强,指智力、理解力和学习能力差;
silly指头脑简单、傻头傻脑,使人觉得可笑,带有一定的感情色彩;
He is stupid in learning math.
Stop asking such silly questions.
You are foolish to throw away such a good chance.
4.instead/instead of
instead/instead of
Jack didn’t study law. Instead, he decided to become an actor.
If you can’t go to the meeting, I can go instead.

②afraid只能做表语,多用于习惯经常地“惧怕”某事物, 泛指一种“恐惧心理”;
6.learn/study
learn/study
When did you begin to study/learn English?
He studied hard and at last learned the language.
study用于较高深或周密的研究;

8.answer/reply
answer/reply
reply为正式用语,多指经过考虑的、有针对性的、详细的回答,常用作不及物动词,和介词to连用,其宾语为名词或代词,这时可以与answer互换;
The old man smiled before he replied to my question.
I cannot answer you now.
How shall I answer?

(when we can finish our work作主词补语。)
She is a student.
Is she a student?
She is not a student.
I can swim.
Can you swim
I can not swim.
(2)当句子中即没有be动词,也没有情态动词时,则在主语前加助动词do (you,以及复数),does(单数she,he,it)变成问句;
在主语后谓语动词前加助动词don’t(I,you,以及复数), doesn’t(单数she,he,it)变成否定句,助动词后的动词要变成动词原形。
例:
We get up at 7:00 every morning.
Do you get up at 7:00 every morning?
We don’t get up at 7:00 every morning.
She has a little brother.
Does she have a little brother?
She doesn’t have a little brother.
We usually go to school at 7:30. [go]
My parents give ten yuan to my sister every week. [give]
work(工作) |
works | ||
以-ch, -sh, s, x, o结尾 |
词尾+es |
teach(教) |
teaches |
变y为i,再加es |
fly(飞翔) |
flies |
be (是) - am,is,are
I am
she/he/it,名词单数都用 is
we,you,they,名词复数都用are
have (有) - have,has
I,we,you,they,名词复数都用have
she/he/it is,名词单数都用 has
助动词,不论单复数、不论什么人称都没有变化,都用 can,may,must,need,ought to 等。
We have six classes every day.
I often get up at 6:30.
Jack likes Chinese food very much.
We can see some pictures on the wall.
常用于一般现在时的词语有 sometimes/usually/often/every day(week,year)/ now/always 等。
My father lose his key again. He is always losing his key.
I/We shall/will go. You/He/She/They will go.
I/We shall/will not go. You/He/She/They will not go.
Shall I/we go? Will you/he/she/they go?
(肯)Yes,主语shall/will (否) No,主语 shall/will not
Why will you be here on Sunday?(周日你为什么将要在这儿?)
I will have a meeting on Sunday(我将要在周日举行一个聚会)
be或will提到句首,some改any,and改or,第一二人称互换
We are going to go on an outing this weekend.
Are you going to go on an outing this weekend?
will/shall+be+v.ed(及物动词过去分词)
The letter will be sent tomorrow.
We shall be punished if we break the rule.
be going to与will的区别:
He is going to write a letter tonight.
He will write a book one day.
He is seriously ill. He is going to die.
He will be twenty years old.
3. be going to 含有“计划,准备”的意思,而 will 则没有这个意思,如:
She is going to lend us her book.
He will be here in half an hour.
4.在有条件从句的主句中,一般不用 be going to, 而多用will, 如:
If any beasts comes at you, I'll stay with you and help you
shall和will区别:
其否定式 shall not 和will not 的缩写式分别为 shan't 和 won't。
I will be clear tomorrow .
I shall come back in ten minutes .
I will come back in ten minutes.
如:he shall be rewarded.
I will(shall) arrive tomorrow.
Will you be free tonight?
We won’t (shan’t) be busy this evening.
例如:Will she come?
a. Where shall we meet?
b. Shall we have any classes tomorrow?
How will I get there?
(4)be going to+ 动词原形
We are going to put up a building here.
How are you going to spend your holidays?
I think it is going to snow.
①It is going to rain.
②We are going to have a meeting today.
二.go, come,start,move,sail,leave,arrive,stay,live,fly,等可用进行时态表示按计划即将发生的动作(行进式动词)。
例如:I'm leaving for Beijing.
①Are we to go on with this work?
②The boy is to go to school tomorrow.
We are about to leave.
某些词,如come, go, leave, arrive, start, get, stay ,live,fly等的一般现在时也可表示将来。
①The meeting starts at five o'clock.
②He gets off at the next stop.
“be due to"构成的谓语,意味“定于…”

More than one teacher gets the flowers.
Many a student has been sent to plant trees.
3,"half of,the rest of,most of,all of及百分数或分数+of 等后接名词"作主语时,谓语动词形式根据of后的名词而定.例如:
Three fourths of the surface of the earth is covered with water.

What they want to get are a number of good books.

7,当主语后面有as well as,with,along with,together with,but,like,rather than,except,逗号加and连接几个名字等引导的短语时,谓语动词要与最前面的主语保持一致.例如:
My father as well as his workmates has been to Beijing.
They each have a bike.

当以-ics结尾的学科名词表示"学科"以外的意义时,用作复数,如:mathematics(运算能力)politics(政治观点)economics(经济意义)等
