The Smallest Bird The little bird takes nectar (花蜜) from a flower. This sweet
liquid (液体) is food for the bird. It uses its longbillto get the nectar deep (深) in

The hummingbird makes a nest (窝). The nest looks like a very small cup. Soon

They put their long bills down the necks of the babies to feed (喂) them nectar.
Their baby birds stay in the nest about three weeks. They leave the nest when they
are big and strong enough to fly. Soon they can build their own nests. They can get
their own nectar. They can feed their own very small babies.
